Warren's Cycle Training Progress
Warren is riding the Scott Addict R1 road bike which is amazingly light at 6.3kg - less than his ski boots! The bike was carefully constructed at the Scott factory in Givisiez, Switzerland, the European head office for Scott. The measurements had to be precise as he is going to be on it for 8 days solid and climbing a total of 20,000 metres!
The first training session was hard, but each time Warren says it gets a little less torturous. While he’s been running his Ski Academy courses on the glacial resort of Saas-Fee, on the days off (Wednesday & Saturday) when everybody else is having a rest day for the legs, he has been cycling to Verbier from Saas-Fee or vice versa. This cycle route is 125km with over 30km’s of steep climbing up to the Alpine resorts.
Please continue to support the charity Bliss and Warren by going to his charity fundraising page with Justgiving (www.justgiving.com/warrensmith1). A big thank you from Warren and all at the Academy to everybody who has donated so far, it’s really appreciated.
