About the Seasonal courses

Our seasonal training courses are the culmination of 20 years of successfully running Academy courses! Throughout the years we’ve built a really strong relationship with lots of clients and on any given week there are numerous familiar faces who have been coming to Academy courses year after year as part of their regular skiing experience.

We’ve repeatedly been asked if we could offer a multi-week/seasonal training program specifically designed for Academy regulars who have no desire to do the instructor training course but would love to do a season (or the best part of one) and train with us to dramatically take their skiing to a whole new level.

In 2019 we ran the first Masters seasonal academy: a 7 week seasonal training program designed around the participants to meet their needs and available dates and offer the best possible program to not only excel their skiing to new levels but also have great fun along the way. The closed group trial program was a huge success and the program has since expanded to offer different courses to suit different needs and availabilities.

Ultimate Seasonal Training Dec-Mar

For those wanting to spend the best part of the season out in Verbier with the perfect amount of training and free time to practice, relax and enjoy everything Verbier has to offer. Maybe even pop a Japan powder trip in too!

The course starts in December and can run until April (not all weeks necessary). Training weeks are interspersed with practice/free/work weeks inbetween.

The specific week’s this course will be running are:

Dec 2nd, 9th: early season weeks. Make the most of the super quiet slopes and get some pre-training in before the bulk of the course kicks in.

Jan 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and Feb 3rd: Joining with the January masters (where beneficial & appropriate). Enjoy typically the coldest, snowiest period in resort with quiet slopes!

Mar 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st: Joining with the March masters (where beneficial & appropriate). Enjoy longer days, great snow with either powder or slush guaranteed!

The weeks where the course joins the others masters courses (Jan 6th and Mar 3rd) can often have a degree of repetition. If this is a problem for you consider not booking onto those two weeks. For us, repetition and revisiting things is essential to developing your skiing and therefore hugely beneficial.

The minimum booking is 6 weeks with the first 2 December weeks being mandatory and at least 4 of the January weeks.. The price per week is CHF700pp.

The course aligns incredibly well with our Japan trip which takes place in the middle of February if you wanted to add in a little Japanese powder experience and escape February half term it’s worth considering (booked separately to this course).

Testimonials

The course was really great. It absolutely achieved my objectives around taking my skiing up a level. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone with an extended amount of time to spend on improving their skiing. I loved the group/team vibe – and good to be in a group of like minded people of a broadly similar age. It’s a big time and financial commitment to take on something like the Masters programme but something I’m so glad to have done and would love to do the course again in the future!

The positives: 1) the coaches. I feel very lucky to have skied with them. They are excellent teachers who were so invested in our skiing and giving us such a positive experience. They are also endlessly kind, patient, and fun. And I think they complement each other perfectly – and this point also goes back to the structure and length of the Masters – as we had the right balance of technical and practice over time; 2) the group. Everyone was so nice and fun, it was a pleasure to ski in their company; 3) my skiing – I’m a lot better!

Only good feedback! The course was great and the structure worked really well. The option to ski throughout January is hugely attractive and worked really well for me.
The continuous training over a long period of time, I find great and enabled time to digest and understand changes needed and really helped with improvements. I enjoyed skiing in a small group. If I am able to I would do the same course again in a future year.
