SKI INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Are you already a qualified ski instructor or do you dream of being one?

Either way the Academy has you covered. We have been training ski instructors since 2004, helping them achieve their skiing goals through our renowned coaching methods, with plenty of fun times along the way. Previous students have gone on to work all over the world from Canada to Japan, some are still in Verbier and a handpicked selection have gone on to join the Academy team.

Whether you are dreaming of a winter education once you’ve finished your traditional one or you are looking to gain your next level of qualification we have the solution for you, winter and summer.

Winter L1&L2

The Winter Ski Instructor courses consist of a minimum of ten weeks training in one of the best resorts in the world, Verbier in Switzerland. The course includes both the Level 1 and Level 2 IASI ski instructor exams. On successful completion, students are qualified as Level 2 ski instructors perfectly in time to apply for jobs the following winter season in the northern or southern hemisphere.

We’ve run instructor courses since 2004, in this time we’ve tweaked and perfected the course and program. Year on year we regularly have 100% pass rates, students that hugely develop both in their skiing, as teachers and grow as people. Great friendships are made, lots of fun had and memories to last a lifetime.

There are options to extend the course to include Level 3 training too if you really want to take your skiing to the next level and train beyond the Level 2 exam after the initial 10 weeks. For the extended options,  we’re also on hand to help with applications for Visas if you wish to stay out (applicable to Brits and non-Schengen area residents).

Summer

L1&L2

The Summer Ski Instructor course consists of seven intensive weeks on the Zermatt Glacier. The course includes both the Level 1 and Level 2 IASI ski instructor exams and, on successful completion, students are qualified as Level 2 ski instructors.

We base ourselves across the border in Cervinia for quicker access and better coffee.

The summer courses fit in with term times for those still in education and have you qualified in time for the winter season.

Meet the Trainers

Our coaches on the instructor programs all hold the highest levels of qualification and have a wealth of experience in helping recreational skiers and instructors fulfil their goals. We all have a different background in skiing, from late starter holiday skiers, British freeride pioneers, Olympic hopeful freestylers, aspiring ski racers, dry slope heros and hardy Scottish adventurers. These days our coaches all still love to ski, just as much as they enjoy imparting their knowledge to help others follow their path in to a profession that has given us all so much.
